Raoul Bellanova has been loaned to Serie A side Atalanta on an 18-month deal with option to buy. We wish him all the best for this new challenge.
The Girondins de Bordeaux can now officially confirm that Raoul Bellanova is on his way to Atalanta (Italy, Serie A), having completed his medical and signed an 18-month loan deal with option to buy.
The young Italian signed a deal this time last year, but did not join Bordeaux until summer 2019. After a promising pre-season with the squad, he made his Ligue 1 debut against Angers.
Raoul is determined to win more first team experience and continue his development, and as such he has opted for a return to Lombardy, a region he knows well since Bergamo is just 60 kilometres from his native Milan.
Atalanta are currently enjoying an excellent season in Serie A, riding high in 5th place with 38 points and already through to the knock-out stages of the UEFA Champions League where they will shortly face Valencia.
We wish Raoul all the best with Atalanta, and will be keeping a close eye on his performances in Italy!
