A decisive year ahead
Born on 2nd May 1996 in Conakry (Guinea), François Kamano started out with Guinean top-flight side FC Satellite before moving to SC Bastia. His professional career began on 9th August 2014 in a six-goal thriller against Marseille (3-3). François rapidly became a key player for the Corsican club, making 23 appearances in Ligue 1 and two in the league cup, scoring four goals and setting up three. He continued in the same vein in the following season.
François' performances in the French first division soon drew the attention of his national team, and by the age of 20 he was already an established international.
François is a multi-talented attacking player as home on the wing as he is up front. Fast, technical and aggressive, Kamano has two years of top flight experience and, most importantly, a huge potential.
After joining Bordeaux from Bastia last summer, François had a solid season in 2016/2017. Deployed predominantly as a left winger, his pace made the difference on a number of occasions. He was one of Jocelyn Gourvennec's most-used players last term (37 appearances and 8 goals in all competitions).
