French international striker Ouleymata Sarr has signed a two year deal with Bordeaux. Welcome Ouleymata!
The Girondins de Bordeaux are thrilled to announce the arrival of Ouleymata Sarr! Freshly out of contract with Lille, Sarr has signed up for two seasons with the Girondines.
Born 8th October 1995 in Cambrai, Ouleymata, better known as "Ouleye," started out playing for Evreux. She played with the boys until U13 level, before switching to Evreux FC 27. In 2013 she was spotted by a scout from Paris SG. She was signed up to the U19 team… but ended up going straight into the first team squad!
She made her D1 debut in 2013-2014, playing twice and scoring twice. She went on to spend three more seasons in Paris, earning more and more match experience and making her Champions League debut. She featured in a total of 57 first team matches for PSG, scoring 19 goals.
I'm so proud to be joining the Girondins de Bordeaux !
Looking for more game time, Ouleye moved to newly-promoted Lille in the summer of 2017. She got off to a thundering start, scoring a hat trick against… Bordeaux on the first day of the season (3-0). Ouleye had a solid season up north (22 matches, 9 goals), helping LOSC to stay up.
Last season she shone in the Coupe de France, with three goals in 5 games leading to a frustrating defeat at the hands of Lyon in the final (3-1).
Ouleye has also played for France at U19 level, finishing third in the World Cup in 2014. After winning caps with U20 and France B, Ouleymata made her dull debut for the Bleues in 2017. She has since won 10 caps for the national team, scoring twice.
An out-and-out striker who can also play on either wing, Ouleys is pacy, technical and agile with a natural flair for scoriung goals. With 23 goals in 75 matches in D1, she is already an experienced player at the elite level with the potential to improve further still.
The club is delighted to have secured Ouleymata's signature for the next two seasons: Welcome to Bordeaux!
