The official FC Girondins de Bordeaux training courses have been running for 25 years, setting an international benchmark for football programmes. Open during school holidays (February, Easter, Summer and October), Cap Girondins is an activity centre specialising in football training, certified by the Departmental Directorate for Young People and Sport. The courses are either day-only or residential, and every year 2500 young players, registered members of a football club and aged between 7 and 16, pass through the centre. Many of them come from abroad, from countries in the EU, Africa and America. This diversity is a great asset, contributing to the footballing and cultural richness of the Cap Girondins centre.
For the duration of the course, participants are based at the Centre International du Haillan. Players enjoy a training setup worthy of professionals, for a full-time footballing experience. Our staff includes around forty trained personnel, from coaches and supervisors to doctors, all with official government certification. Once a week we take all of our young guests to meet the first team, for an unforgettable inspirational experience.

With over 50,000 players having passed through Cap Girondins, the centre has had its share of guests who have gone on to play football professionally. The most famous is goalkeeper Sébastien Frey, currently playing for Fiorentina in Serie A after previous spells with Cannes, Inter Milan and Parma. One of Frey's contemporaries was another professional well known to fans of the Girondins de Bordeaux, Mathieu Béda. Before them the centre welcomed the Cheyrou brothers, and also helped train one of the club's more recent young prospects: Henri Saivet.
Cap Girondins has been running for 25 years, training 50,000 young players under the direct responsibility of FC Girondins de Bordeaux. This pedigree makes Cap Girondins France's pre-eminent centre for residential football courses.
All of the young players that pass through the centre improve their technique, enhance their tactical understanding of the game, learn how to manage their physical potential and, finally, receive a lesson in teamwork and community spirit which we consider to be very important. Some of our trainees have gone on to play football professionally, including Fiorentina keeper Sébastien Frey, Mathieu Beda, Bruno Cheyrou and Henri Saivet.
Cap Girondins offers a wide range of options (period, duration, format) in order to meet everybody's requirements and expectations.
